Drink the right stuff!
People often ask where I get my bottles, as I use a lot of them.
Well, bars and catered affairs are the Easiest. Unfortunately, My needs have become very specific, and bottles are not naturally compatible with each other. No matter how much I talk to them, they will not be friends in the kiln. Consequently I need a lot of the SAME bottle – preferably from the same case.
My husband and I often choose our beverage based on my art needs. We are currently drinking Bud Light Premium in the cobalt blue bottle, Casal Garcia Vinho Verde in the pale blue bottle and The Seeker Sauvignon Blanc in the light green bottle. We had to go to Atlanta to get the Casal Garcia. Fortunately it is summer, as that is a very light somewhat effervescent wine.
I also have some very good friends and neighbors who will accommodate my needs within reason. I did feel a little awkward, tho when a neighbor apologized for not drinking enough as she was on a diet!
As I collect my bottles, I sort them by type, and when I get enough of one bottle, I process them.
